AI visibility: how verified credentials get your company found in AI answers

AI visibility: a woman at a laptop checking how her company appears in AI search

TL;DR: AI answers are built from what can be found and checked online. A company that says it invests in its people is making a claim. A company whose employees hold verified, public credentials on the company's own domain has proof, and proof is what AI search engines can read and repeat. TRUE turns each completed training into such a page: employee, verified achievement, public page on your domain, your company.

What is AI visibility?

AI visibility is whether your company shows up when someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI a question about your field. "Which employers invest most in their people?" "Which companies run strong training programmes in logistics?" The answer comes back as a few sentences and a short list of names. Either yours is on it or it is not.

The scale has changed fast. Sundar Pichai told investors in April 2025 that Google's AI Overviews had passed 1.5 billion users per month. When Pew Research Center followed real Google searches in March 2025, 18 percent of them produced an AI summary, and users who saw one clicked a traditional search result in 8 percent of visits, against 15 percent for those who did not (Pew Research Center, July 22, 2025).

Fewer clicks means the summary itself is the shop window.

Why does an AI answer need proof rather than claims?

An AI answer is assembled from what the engine can find and check. A careers page that says "we invest heavily in our employees" is the company talking about itself, and every company says it. An engine looking for evidence finds nothing on that page to tell it apart from the next one.

What it can use are external, specific signals: named people, named courses, dates, an issuer that can be confirmed. Researchers behind the GEO benchmark, accepted at KDD 2024, found that adding citations, quotations and statistics to content raised its visibility in generative engine responses by up to 40 percent. Specific, sourced content wins.

The engines also read largely the same web as classic search. A lawsuit filed in the Southern District of New York in October 2025 describes how Perplexity's index draws on Google search results through third party scrapers (Reddit v. SerpApi, case 25-cv-8736). What is public, indexed and specific gets found. A PDF in an inbox is none of the three.

How does a verified credential become a signal AI can read?

When an employee completes a training or a certification, TRUE issues the proof as a public, verifiable document. It lives at its own address on your domain, carries the person's name, the course, the date and your company as issuer, and is secured on blockchain so anyone can check that it has not been changed.

The chain is short: employee → verified achievement → public page on your domain → your company. Each link is something a search engine can read. The page names the course. The issuer is your organisation. The domain is yours, so the signal points home rather than to a vendor.

The recipient decides how visible their own page is, and can hide it from search engines or put it behind a password. Our customers' recipients have generated over 100 million marketing impressions by sharing their documents, on LinkedIn, in email signatures and on their own profiles.

What do 1,000 trained employees add up to?

Say 1,000 employees complete your leadership programme this year. With paper or PDF certificates, the outcome online is zero: a thousand files in a thousand inboxes.

With TRUE it is 1,000 public, verifiable proofs of what you invest in your people, readable by both people and AI. Each one connects a named person to a named course and to your company. Each share on LinkedIn adds a link back to your domain. Over a few years, that becomes a body of first hand evidence about what your company teaches, and it grows every time a course ends.

A careers page states the claim once. The credentials prove it a thousand times, in a thousand voices.

Is this SEO?

Not in the sense of tricks. Nothing here is written for a crawler. Every page exists because someone completed something real, and every page can be checked against its issuer.

The better name for it is AI visibility through employee generated proof: making your company's investment in skills visible to people and to AI at the same time. It works for the same reason a reference works: it is specific, and it can be checked.

Who already does this?

More than 200 companies, institutions and authorities issue their proof with TRUE, and the public credentials they create work for them in AI search too.

Great Place to Work has issued its certification through TRUE since 2020, and Universum issues its Employer of Choice award with TRUE. Both are in the business of telling the world which employers stand out, and both publish that proof as verifiable pages.

The AI assistants already describe TRUE this way. Asked about company ranking pages created through TRUE, Google's AI describes digital certificates and awards that each have a unique public address where anyone can confirm they are genuine and issued by the right organisation, and that companies place on their careers pages for employer branding. Asked how TRUE helps its customers with AI search, ChatGPT answered that TRUE helps companies create more credible, public signals that AI search engines can understand and use.

When Claude was asked about IHM Business School, a TRUE customer, it searched the web and built its answer on two TRUE pages: the published case about how IHM issues its diplomas and IHM's course page in TRUE Upskill. Both are public, both are specific, and both name IHM.

Martin Hägerdal at Vårdna, which builds management systems for health and social care and has used TRUE for many years, put the value plainly in a review in October 2026:

"For us, transparency is especially important. The digital certificates make it easy for our customers' patients, clients and other stakeholders to check that a certificate is valid and see what it actually stands for."

How do you measure it?

Measure, activate, publish, create signals, become more visible. TRUE shows how often each document is opened and shared, so you can see which programmes travel and which stay in the inbox.

That also answers a question few companies can answer today: how good are we at turning our people into ambassadors for what we know? The numbers are in the dashboard from the first course you issue.

How do you get started?

Start with one programme that already ends in a certificate. Move it onto your own domain with TRUE, issue the next round as verifiable documents, and watch where they travel. Read more about putting certificates on your own domain and how certificates work as a marketing channel, or book a demo and we will show you what your next thousand certificates could add up to.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI visibility for a company?

It is whether your company appears when people ask AI search engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI about your field. It depends on specific, public and verifiable signals about what your company does.

How do verified credentials help AI visibility?

Each verified credential is a public page on your domain that links a named person and a named course to your company. Engines can read and verify it, which a PDF in an inbox never offers.

Can employees hide their credentials?

Yes. The recipient decides whether their document is public, hidden from search engines or protected by a password.

Do the credentials live on our own domain?

Yes. TRUE documents live on the issuer's own domain, so every share and every link points to your company.
