TL;DR: YH Akademin issues its diplomas digitally with TRUE, and the work of producing them has left the education managers entirely. Anyone who holds a diploma can share it, and anyone who receives one can check that it is genuine without contacting the school.
Open the diploma through the link it was sent with. The page shows straight away that it was issued by YH Akademin and that nothing has changed since. If someone has sent you a diploma, as an employer for example, you can also paste the link into TRUE Verify. The answer comes in a few seconds, and you do not need an account.
The wrong people. YH Akademin, formerly Yrkesakademin Yrkeshögskola, runs vocational programmes from frontend development to digital marketing and sales. Its education managers are there to run education.
They were also the ones creating and distributing every diploma and certificate. That meant careful data transfer, printing, collecting signatures and physical delivery, for each graduate, every term.
Because of what it displaces. An hour an education manager spends checking that a name is spelled correctly on a printed document is an hour not spent on the programme, and nobody records that cost anywhere.
A process with that many manual steps also produces errors, and an error on a diploma is not a small thing. It has to be found, corrected and reissued, usually after the student has already noticed.
The work left the education managers entirely. YH Akademin brought in TRUE to automate both the creation and the distribution of secure, verifiable certificates, as part of a wider move to digital processes.

This was never difficult work. It was repetitive work that had to be exactly right, which is the combination people are worst at and systems are best at.
A document that behaves. Certificates are easy to reach, easy to share and can be verified by anyone, and they cannot be lost by a student or by the school.
