PING PONG Integration

PING PONG completions can issue TRUE certificates

PING PONG is where your learning and competence records already live. TRUE turns a completion there into a branded, blockchain secured certificate on your own domain, with a permanent link anyone can check. The TRUE side of that is built and running; what we establish with you is which route out of your PING PONG we use.

TL;DR

There are only ever two ways a learning platform connects to TRUE: it calls us when something is completed, or we read completions from it on a schedule. Everything after that is identical, and it is already built. For PING PONG we establish which of the two fits your setup, together with you and your PING PONG contact, rather than guessing at it from the outside. Once that is settled, the certificate carries your design, sits on your own domain, and is written to blockchain at the moment of issue.

  • The TRUE side is built. Issuing, the design, the verification page and the blockchain record are all in production. The work is the connection.
  • Two routes, one result. Your platform calls us, or we read completions from it. Both end with the same certificate.
  • We establish the route with you. Rather than promising a mechanism before we have seen your setup.

How does the PING PONG certificate integration work?

PING PONG records who completed what. The connection carries that to TRUE, and TRUE issues the certificate against your design and delivers it. What we settle at the start is only how the completion leaves PING PONG, and there are two ordinary answers to that.

1

We establish the route with you

Together with whoever administers your PING PONG, and with your PING PONG contact where that is useful. This is a short conversation, and it is worth having properly rather than assuming.

2

Agree which courses issue

Not everything recorded in a competence system should produce a certificate. We go through it with you once and set the rule.

3

Certificates issue themselves

Once it is running, a completion produces a branded, blockchain secured certificate with a permanent verification link.

What does the certificate carry?

The participant name, the course, your organisation and the date it was issued, written to blockchain at the moment of issue so it cannot be edited or backdated afterwards.

  • Participant name and course. Read from your PING PONG record, so it matches your own competence data rather than a copy of it.
  • Your organisation. The certificate is branded as yours and lives on your own domain.
  • Date of issue, fixed. Written to blockchain at issuance, which is what makes backdating impossible.
  • A permanent verification link. An employer confirms it by opening the link or scanning the QR code, without contacting you.

What has to be in place before it can be switched on?

Access to your PING PONG, agreement on the route, and a certificate design. The first two are one conversation between us, your administrator and your PING PONG contact.

  • Access to your PING PONG, or to whoever administers it for you.
  • A decision on the route, which we establish with you rather than assume.
  • A certificate design, built by us to your profile or adapted by you from an existing template.

What does a participant receive?

A branded, animated certificate delivered by email, on your own domain rather than ours. It carries a QR code and a permanent verification URL, so anyone can confirm it without contacting you, and it goes onto a LinkedIn profile in one click.

  • Beautifully designed. Animated, branded and interactive rather than a static PDF.
  • A shareable link. One URL that works in an email signature, a portfolio or a CV.
  • QR code verification. An employer, a client or a regulator confirms the credential instantly.
  • LinkedIn ready. Added to a profile in one click, which puts your name in front of their network.
  • Blockchain secured. It cannot be edited, forged or backdated after issue.

How is participant data handled?

The connection passes the participant name, email address and the course details, which is what a certificate needs to exist. A competence system holds a great deal more than that, and none of the rest is needed or used.

TRUE is hosted in the EU, and we sign a data processing agreement with you before anything is switched on.

How much has TRUE issued for organisations like yours?

More than 500,000 documents for over 200 organisations in 15 or more countries, and credentials shared by their recipients have produced over 100 million marketing impressions. These are TRUE platform figures, not third party research.

Is a PING PONG completion on its own enough?

It proves the course was completed inside your organisation, which is enough internally. What it cannot do is prove anything to somebody who has no login, and that is the part the connection adds.

What do PING PONG administrators ask about this?

Mostly how the connection is made, how long it takes and whether their team has to change anything. One of two routes, a short piece of work, and no.

How is the connection made?

One of two ways: PING PONG calls TRUE when something is completed, or TRUE reads completions from it on a schedule. We establish which fits your setup with you rather than promising a mechanism we have not seen.

Do our administrators have to work differently?

No. They keep working in PING PONG exactly as they do today. The certificate is issued from what is already recorded.

How long does it take?

The TRUE side is already built, so the time is establishing the route and preparing your certificate design. Both are short, and we will give you a date once we have seen the setup rather than before.

Does everything recorded produce a certificate?

Only what you choose. A competence system records a lot, and most of it should stay internal. We agree the rule with you once, before anything goes live.

Do participants need a TRUE account?

No. The certificate arrives by email with a unique link. No login, no account and no app.

Can the certificate carry our own design?

Yes. We build the design to your graphic profile, or you adapt one from an existing template. The certificate is branded as yours and lives on your own domain.

Can we issue certificates for courses that already finished?

Yes. Earlier completions can be issued as a batch, so a backlog does not have to be handled by hand.

What does a recipient do with the certificate?

Share it. It is a link rather than a file, so it goes on a LinkedIn profile in one click and into an email signature or CV, and every share points back to a verification page carrying your name.

Ready to look at your PING PONG?

Show us the setup and we will tell you which route fits, what it takes and how quickly the first certificate can go out.
