TL;DR: Yrkeshögskoleförbundet, the Swedish vocational college association, issues its certificates digitally with TRUE. They are always available, can be verified and cannot be lost, and the association’s internal archive is searchable. Hundreds have been issued and viewed tens of thousands of times.
Open the certificate through the link the participant received, or ask the participant for it. The page shows that Yrkeshögskoleförbundet issued it and that nothing has changed since. You can also paste the link into TRUE Verify. The answer comes in a few seconds, and you do not need an account.
Delivery. Not design, not administration, delivery.
Jenny Sundborg is national coordinator at Yrkeshögskoleförbundet, the Swedish vocational college association. She describes a process that looked much as it did decades earlier: paper documents, envelopes, stamps.

“We were sending diplomas to every participant by hand. It was not only time consuming, there were always cases where they came back or went missing on the way. And if somebody needed a copy later, finding it and sending it again took an unreasonable amount of time.”
A lost certificate is not a one time problem. It comes back years later, when the person needs it for a job application and the association has to go looking.
Because it usually goes missing quietly, and is discovered at the worst possible moment. Nobody notices a diploma that did not arrive until somebody asks for it, which is normally when a person is applying for something.
At that point the association is not doing administration. It is standing between a person and an opportunity.
The document stopped moving. It is issued digitally, stays available, and cannot be lost by anybody.
“With TRUE we can issue digital certificates that are always available, easy to verify and easy to distribute. Participants can print them themselves or use them digitally, which gives them real control over their own proof.”
The old process made the association the custodian of everybody else's evidence.
The association began issuing digital credentials that give participants a simple way to show what they have done online. Internally the team got a searchable, organised archive, so finding and resending a document is no longer a project.
Hundreds of certificates have been issued and viewed tens of thousands of times, which is a great deal of attention for documents that used to sit in envelopes.
“It is a smooth, reliable system that just works. We can focus less on paperwork and more on delivering value.”
Two vocational colleges that removed the same work: YH Akademin and TUC. On automating issuing from a system you already run, see certificate automation workflows.
More on digital membership certificates and licences.
Paper documents, envelopes and stamps. Certificates were printed, packed and posted, and sometimes they never reached the recipient at all.
It took a long time. Finding the record and sending it again was slow enough that Jenny Sundborg, national coordinator, describes it as extremely inefficient.
