TL;DR: Effektiv Nu trains up to 3,000 participants a year in working smarter. Certificates used to go out as PDFs, and only to the people who needed one and said so, because producing them by hand at that volume was the biggest administrative job the company had. Everyone who completes a course now receives a diploma through TRUE. Its development manager names three gains: the design looks professional, sending to many groups is simple, and the company can finally see where participants share what they earned.
Christopher Bernestrå is an engineer by training and says he likes optimising things and changing them, in the space between people and technology. At Effektiv Nu he is development manager and training leader, which means staying alert to whatever new technology and new ways of working turn up next.
Mansur Köyluoglu, known as Manne, started the company in 2013 after several years of work related stress. He changed careers and went looking for a smarter way to work. Effektiv Nu now works with companies across a range of markets and marked its tenth year with a week of open lectures on AI, the new Outlook and Teams, and how an organisation sets its own rules for working in the office, in hybrid and remotely.
Whoever asked, which is not the same as everyone who earned one. The company never decided that most of its participants should leave with nothing. The process decided, quietly, because it could not carry the volume.

“Before TRUE we sent out the certificates as PDFs to those who had a need for one and wanted one. So not standard for everyone who takes our courses, which was a shame.”
Arithmetic, and the kind that does not negotiate. Three thousand documents a year built by hand is not a task anybody finishes. It is a task somebody rations, and the rationing became the policy: a certificate for whoever asked loudly enough.
“Since we have up to 3,000 participants a year, the administration of manually creating these diplomas was the biggest challenge. It also meant a lot of extra files to handle.”
Christopher Bernestrå, Development Manager, Effektiv Nu
The extra files are the detail worth holding onto. Every manual document leaves a copy somewhere, and a company that produces a few thousand of them ends up administering a filing problem it never chose. On what changes at this volume, see how to issue digital certificates at scale.
Three things, and the third is one most training companies have never had. The design holds up, the sending is quick across many different groups, and the company can watch what happens to a diploma after it leaves.
“I like that the design of the diplomas is animated and looks professional. That it is then easy to send out to many different groups is a big plus. The statistics on participants sharing their diplomas across different platforms are exciting too.”
Christopher Bernestrå, Development Manager, Effektiv Nu
A PDF gave them nothing to look at. Effektiv Nu now knows where its own name travels once a course ends, which for a company whose subject is working smarter is the kind of number that changes what you do next.
It finishes it. Bernestrå frames the document as a matter of pride rather than paperwork, and he is the second person in this set of interviews to arrive at ownership as the thing that matters.
“TRUE has created a professional and good looking ending to our courses that creates pride and curiosity. Owning your digital diploma uniquely is right for the times, and I believe that need will grow.”
Christopher Bernestrå, Development Manager, Effektiv Nu
A small thing with a clear purpose behind it. When a participant shares their training on LinkedIn, Effektiv Nu wants the share to carry an image from Effektiv Nu rather than a generic graphic supplied by the platform. That is the request of a company that has already worked out what a shared diploma is worth to it.
Effektiv Nu publishes its courses on its own site: Effektiv Nu. For what happens when a document reaches an audience instead of a drawer, see ambassador marketing. Another training company whose certificates found a wide audience once they could be shared: Dale Carnegie.
Up to 3,000 participants a year.
Only participants who needed one and asked. Certificates went out as PDFs and were not standard for everyone completing a course, which the company calls a shame.
Creating the diplomas manually was the biggest administrative job at a volume of up to 3,000 participants a year, and it produced a lot of extra files to handle.
That the diploma design is animated and looks professional, that sending to many different groups is easy, and that it can see statistics on participants sharing their diplomas across platforms.
That a LinkedIn share of a completed training carries an image from Effektiv Nu rather than a generic graphic from the platform.
