TalentLMS can issue TRUE certificates the moment a course is completed
TalentLMS already has the button for this. It ships with a course completion action that calls an external URL when somebody finishes a course, and no extra plugin is needed to use it. Point that action at TRUE and a branded, blockchain secured certificate is issued for every completion, without an administrator in the loop.
TL;DR
The connection is a setting inside TalentLMS, not a development project. TalentLMS has a built in completion action, described in its own documentation as calling a URL when a course is completed, and it is available without any extra plugin. An administrator picks the course, switches the action on and gives it the address we provide. From then on TalentLMS tells TRUE about each completion and TRUE issues the certificate, carrying your design, on your own domain, written to blockchain at the moment of issue.

- Set per course. You choose which courses issue a certificate, so a pilot on one course is a single setting.
- Then it runs itself. Every completion on a switched on course issues a certificate, for every learner.
How does the TalentLMS certificate integration work?
TalentLMS knows the moment a learner finishes a course, and it can tell another system about it. That is exactly what the built in completion action does. TRUE takes the call, builds the certificate from the details it carries and delivers it to the learner, so nothing is exported and no list is kept twice.

Paste in the address we give you. We set up the matching certificate on our side at the same time, so the course in TalentLMS and the certificate in TRUE are connected from the start.

Certificates issue themselves
On completion the learner receives a branded, blockchain secured certificate with a permanent verification link. Nobody has to trigger it.
What does the certificate carry?
The learner name, the course, your organisation and the date it was issued, written to blockchain at the moment of issue so it cannot be edited or backdated afterwards.
- Learner name and course. Taken from the TalentLMS completion itself, so it matches your course catalogue exactly.
- Your organisation. The certificate is branded as yours and lives on your own domain.
- Date of issue, fixed. Written to blockchain at issuance, which is what makes backdating impossible.
- A permanent verification link. An employer confirms it by opening the link or scanning the QR code, without contacting you.
What has to be in place before it can be switched on?
Administrator access in TalentLMS and a certificate design. The administrator part is one setting per course. The design is either one we build to your graphic profile or one you adapt yourself from a template, and it is the only part that takes any real decision making.

How is learner data handled?
TalentLMS passes the learner name, email address and the course details to TRUE, which is what a certificate needs to exist. Nothing else is sent, because nothing else is needed.
TRUE is hosted in the EU, and we sign a data processing agreement with you before anything is switched on.

Is a TalentLMS completion on its own enough?
It proves the course was completed inside your system, which is enough internally. What it cannot do is prove anything to somebody outside it, and that is the part the connection adds.
