Learnster Integration
Learnster courses can issue TRUE certificates on completion
TRUE and Learnster are connected today. When a learner completes a course, the certificate is issued and delivered without an administrator exporting a list or building anything. It carries your design, sits on your own domain, and is written to blockchain at the moment of issue.
TL;DR
This is a connection we run rather than one you have to scope. Learnster holds the course and the completion, TRUE issues the certificate from it, and the learner receives a permanent link they can share. We set it up against your Learnster account together with you, agree which courses should issue, and after that nobody has to do anything per learner. The whole setup conversation is short, because the technical part is already solved.
- Already connected. This is a connection we run, not a project you have to scope.
- You choose what issues. We agree which courses produce a certificate before anything goes live.
- Then it runs itself. Every completion on a switched on course issues a certificate, for every learner.
How does the Learnster certificate integration work?
Learnster knows who completed what and when. TRUE takes that and issues the certificate against your design, then delivers it to the learner. Your administrators keep working in Learnster exactly as they do today, and no list is kept twice.
1
We set the connection up with you
Against your own Learnster account. This is the step that would normally be a project, and here it is a conversation, because the connection itself already exists.
2
Agree which courses issue
Not every course should produce a formal certificate. We go through your catalogue with you once and set the rule.
3
Certificates issue themselves
On completion the learner receives a branded, blockchain secured certificate with a permanent verification link. Nobody has to trigger it.
What does the certificate carry?
The learner name, the course, your organisation and the date it was issued, written to blockchain at the moment of issue so it cannot be edited or backdated afterwards.
- Learner name and course. Read from Learnster itself, so it matches your catalogue rather than a copy of it.
- Your organisation. The certificate is branded as yours and lives on your own domain.
- Date of issue, fixed. Written to blockchain at issuance, which is what makes backdating impossible.
- A permanent verification link. An employer confirms it by opening the link or scanning the QR code, without contacting you.
What has to be in place before it can be switched on?
Access to your Learnster account, a decision about which courses issue, and a certificate design. The design is the only part that takes any real decision making.
- Access to your Learnster account, which we set up with you.
- The courses that should issue, agreed once so nothing starts issuing before you mean it to.
- A certificate design, built by us to your profile or adapted by you from an existing template.
What does a learner receive?
A branded, animated certificate delivered by email, on your own domain rather than ours. It carries a QR code and a permanent verification URL, so anyone can confirm it without contacting you, and it goes onto a LinkedIn profile in one click.
- Beautifully designed. Animated, branded and interactive rather than a static PDF.
- A shareable link. One URL that works in an email signature, a portfolio or a CV.
- QR code verification. An employer, a client or a regulator confirms the credential instantly.
- LinkedIn ready. Added to a profile in one click, which puts your name in front of their network.
- Blockchain secured. It cannot be edited, forged or backdated after issue.
How is learner data handled?
We use the learner name, email address and the course details, which is what a certificate needs to exist. Nothing else is used, because nothing else is needed.
TRUE is hosted in the EU, and we sign a data processing agreement with you before anything is switched on.
How much has TRUE issued for organisations like yours?
More than 500,000 documents for over 200 organisations in 15 or more countries, and credentials shared by their recipients have produced over 100 million marketing impressions. These are TRUE platform figures, not third party research.
500K+ Documents issued
200+ Organisations
15+ Countries
100M+ Marketing impressions
Is a Learnster completion on its own enough?
It proves the course was completed inside your organisation, which is enough internally. What it cannot do is prove anything to somebody outside it, and that is the part the connection adds.
| Capability | Completion on its own | Completion with TRUE connected |
|---|---|---|
| Proof outside your organisation | The reader has to take it on trust | A permanent verification link anyone can open |
| Tamper proof | No | Yes, written to blockchain at issue |
| Lives on your domain | No | Yes, branded on your own domain |
| LinkedIn shareable | A file to attach | One click add to LinkedIn |
| Effort per participant | Manual handling for anything formal | None, it issues on completion |
| Setup effort | Not applicable | A conversation, because the connection already exists |
| Analytics | None | Views, shares and verifications tracked |
What do Learnster administrators ask about this?
Mostly how long it takes, whether their team has to change anything and which courses are affected. Not long, no, and only the ones you choose.
Does the Learnster integration have to be built?
No. TRUE runs a connection to Learnster already. Setting it up for your account is configuration rather than development.
Do our administrators have to work differently?
No. They keep working in Learnster exactly as they do today.
Does every course issue a certificate?
Only the ones you choose. We agree the rule with you once, before anything goes live.
How long does it take to go live?
The technical part is already solved, so the time is mostly your certificate design and the decision about which courses issue. Both are usually short.
Do participants need a TRUE account?
No. The certificate arrives by email with a unique link. No login, no account and no app.
Can the certificate carry our own design?
Yes. We build the design to your graphic profile, or you adapt one from an existing template. The certificate is branded as yours and lives on your own domain.
Can we issue certificates for courses that already finished?
Yes. Earlier completions can be issued as a batch, so a backlog does not have to be handled by hand.
What does a recipient do with the certificate?
Share it. It is a link rather than a file, so it goes on a LinkedIn profile in one click and into an email signature or CV, and every share points back to a verification page carrying your name.
Ready to switch it on?
We prepare your certificate design, set the connection up against your Learnster account, and the next completed course issues on its own.
