Learnifier Integration
Learnifier issues TRUE certificates automatically
TRUE is a standard certificate connector inside Learnifier. Once the service is switched on, every course that carries an award issues a branded, blockchain secured certificate through TRUE, automatically, for every participant who completes it. There is nothing to build and no integration project to run.
TL;DR
Learnifier lists TRUE among its standard connectors for certificates. Switching it on is a message to Learnifier, not a development task: you contact your Learnifier representative and approve TRUE as a sub processor. From that point every Learnifier course containing an award generates a digital certificate through TRUE, carrying the participant name, the course, your organisation and the issue date, secured on blockchain. Learnifier holds a data processing agreement with TRUE, so the GDPR side is settled before you start.
- Already built. TRUE is one of Learnifier's standard certificate connectors, not a custom integration.
- Switched on by message. One approval to Learnifier and the service is active on your account.
- Then it runs itself. Every course with an award issues a certificate automatically, for every participant.
How does the Learnifier certificate integration work?
Learnifier already knows which participants completed which course, and it already knows which of your courses carry an award. The connector uses exactly that: when a participant completes a course with an award, Learnifier hands the details to TRUE and TRUE issues the certificate and delivers it. No export, no template work per learner and no administrator in the loop.
1
Switch the service on
You contact your Learnifier representative and approve TRUE as a sub processor. We send you the exact wording, and we handle the switch on with Learnifier together with you.
2
Keep using awards as you do today
Nothing changes in how you build courses. Any course that carries an award, built with Learnifier's own certificate and diploma function, is now covered.
3
Certificates issue themselves
On completion the participant receives a branded, blockchain secured certificate with a permanent verification link. Nobody has to trigger it.
What does the certificate carry?
The participant name, the course, your organisation and the date it was issued, written to blockchain at the moment of issue so it cannot be edited or backdated afterwards.
- Participant name and course. Taken from the Learnifier award, so it matches your course structure exactly.
- Your organisation. The certificate is branded as yours and lives on your own domain.
- Date of issue, fixed. Written to blockchain at issuance, which is what makes backdating impossible.
- A permanent verification link. An employer confirms it by opening the link or scanning the QR code, without contacting you.
What has to be in place before it can be switched on?
An approval and a certificate design. The approval is the sub processor message to Learnifier. The design is either one we build to your graphic profile or one you adapt yourself from a template, and it is the only part that takes any real decision making.
- Your approval of TRUE as a sub processor, sent to Learnifier. Learnifier already holds a data processing agreement with TRUE, so nothing has to be negotiated first.
- Courses that carry an award in Learnifier, which is the existing certificate and diploma function.
- A certificate design, built by us to your profile or adapted by you from an existing template.
What does a participant receive?
A branded, animated certificate delivered by email, on your own domain rather than ours. It carries a QR code and a permanent verification URL, so anyone can confirm it without contacting you, and it goes onto a LinkedIn profile in one click.
- Beautifully designed. Animated, branded and interactive rather than a static PDF.
- A shareable link. One URL that works in an email signature, a portfolio or a CV.
- QR code verification. An employer, a client or a regulator confirms the credential instantly.
- LinkedIn ready. Added to a profile in one click, which puts your name in front of their network.
- Blockchain secured. It cannot be edited, forged or backdated after issue.
How is participant data handled?
Learnifier passes the participant name, email address and the course and award details to TRUE, which is what a certificate needs to exist. Learnifier holds a data processing agreement with TRUE covering security, confidentiality and data subject rights, which is why activation is an approval rather than a procurement exercise.
Learnifier documents this arrangement for its own customers. TRUE is hosted in the EU.
How much has TRUE issued for organisations like yours?
More than 500,000 documents for over 200 organisations in 15 or more countries, and credentials shared by their recipients have produced over 100 million marketing impressions. These are TRUE platform figures, not third party research.
500K+ Documents issued
200+ Organisations
15+ Countries
100M+ Marketing impressions
Is a Learnifier award on its own enough?
It proves the course was completed inside your system, which is enough internally. What it cannot do is prove anything to somebody outside it, and that is the part the connector adds.
| Capability | Award on its own | Award with TRUE switched on |
|---|---|---|
| Proof outside your organisation | The reader has to take it on trust | A permanent verification link anyone can open |
| Tamper proof | No | Yes, written to blockchain at issue |
| Lives on your domain | No | Yes, branded on your own domain |
| LinkedIn shareable | A file to attach | One click add to LinkedIn |
| Effort per participant | Manual handling for anything formal | None, it issues on completion |
| Analytics | None | Views, shares and verifications tracked |
What do Learnifier administrators ask about this?
Mostly whether anything has to be built, how long it takes and what happens to courses that already ran. Nothing, a message, and they can be issued as a batch.
Does the Learnifier integration have to be built?
No. TRUE is one of Learnifier's standard connectors for certificates. There is no development work on either side, and no API for you to call.
How is it switched on?
You contact your Learnifier representative and approve TRUE as a sub processor. We give you the exact wording to send and take it from there with Learnifier. There is no account setup for you to complete first.
Which courses are covered once it is on?
Every course that carries an award, built with the certificate and diploma function you already use in Learnifier. Courses without an award are unaffected.
Do participants need a TRUE account?
No. The certificate arrives by email with a unique link. No login, no account and no app.
Can the certificate carry our own design?
Yes. We build the design to your graphic profile, or you adapt one from an existing template. The certificate is branded as yours and lives on your own domain.
What about GDPR?
Learnifier holds a data processing agreement with TRUE covering security, confidentiality and data subject rights, which is why activation is an approval of TRUE as a sub processor. TRUE is hosted in the EU.
Can we issue certificates for courses that already finished?
Yes. Earlier completions can be issued as a batch, so a backlog does not have to be handled by hand.
What does a recipient do with the certificate?
Share it. It is a link rather than a file, so it goes on a LinkedIn profile in one click and into an email signature or CV, and every share points back to a verification page carrying your name.
Ready to switch it on?
We prepare your certificate design, you approve TRUE with Learnifier, and the next participant who completes a course with an award receives a verifiable credential.
