TRUE Sign

Terms & Conditions

Last updated 25 July 2026. TRUE Sign is part of the TRUE platform by TRUE Value Software AB, Eriksbergsgatan 3, Stockholm.

1. TRUE Sign Terms of Service

These terms bind the organisation or person that creates a TRUE Sign account and sends documents for signature ("you", "the sender"). They apply alongside the TRUE General Terms and the Data Processing Agreement.

1.1 The service

TRUE Sign lets you upload documents, invite signing parties, collect legally binding electronic signatures, and receive a sealed PDF whose fingerprint is anchored on a public blockchain together with a Proof of Signing.

1.2 Account and access

You log in with a personal email link. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure and for everything done through your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared.

1.3 Staying in touch

We may contact you about TRUE services: new features, improvements and offers that we believe help you get more out of your documents. We keep it relevant and never noisy, and every such message includes a simple way to opt out. Service messages about your account and your documents, such as signing invitations, reminders and receipts, are always sent since the service does not work without them.

1.4 Plans, fees and renewal

The Free plan includes three contracts. Paid plans are billed annually in advance per the pricing page. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time before renewal; you keep access for the paid period. Sealed documents remain valid, and stay verifiable through TRUE for as long as you choose to keep them with us: you can take a document down at any time and we remove it on your instruction. Long term retention beyond an active plan may be offered as a paid service.

1.5 Your content and your responsibility

You own the documents you upload. You confirm that you have the right to send them for signature, that the content is lawful, and that you have a legal basis for the personal data they contain. For personal data in your documents you are the data controller and TRUE is your data processor under the Data Processing Agreement.

1.6 Evidence and sealing

When all parties have signed, TRUE builds the sealed PDF, computes its cryptographic fingerprint (SHA 256) and anchors that fingerprint on a public blockchain. The fingerprint proves integrity without revealing content: no document text and no personal data is ever written to the blockchain. The evidence log (who opened, signed and sealed, with timestamps) is part of the Proof of Signing.

1.7 Acceptable use

You may not use TRUE Sign for unlawful content, to deceive signing parties about what they sign, to send spam, or to attempt to access other customers' data. We may suspend accounts that put the service or its users at risk.

1.8 Availability and liability

We operate the service with care but provide it as is. Nothing in the service is legal advice. Our total liability under these terms is capped at the fees you paid during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages.

1.9 Intellectual property

TRUE owns the service, its software and trademarks. You receive a right to use the service during your subscription. You grant us the technical licence needed to process, store, seal and deliver your documents.

1.10 Changes, term and termination

We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the service before they take effect and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. You may terminate at any time. Sections that by nature survive termination (evidence, liability, law) survive.

1.11 Law and disputes

Swedish law governs these terms. Disputes are settled by Swedish courts.

2. Signer Terms

These terms apply to anyone invited to sign a document through TRUE Sign ("you", "the signer"). You need no account and pay nothing.

2.1 What TRUE Sign is in your case

A sender has invited you to review and sign a document. TRUE provides the signing service on the sender's behalf. The document itself comes from the sender, and questions about its content belong to the sender.

2.2 Your electronic signature is binding

By clicking Sign document you sign electronically. Under EU law (eIDAS) and Swedish law an electronic signature of this kind is legally valid and may not be denied legal effect solely because it is electronic. Do not sign unless you have read the document and agree.

2.3 The evidence we record

To make the signature provable we record, as part of the sealed document's evidence package: your name and email address, the mobile number if the sender required SMS verification, timestamps for when the document was opened, viewed and signed, your IP address and browser identifier, and the events of the signing process. This evidence travels with the sealed PDF and appears in the Proof of Signing.

2.4 Your personal data

The sender is the data controller for the document content and for your data in the signing process; TRUE processes it on the sender's behalf. No personal data is written to any blockchain: only the document's cryptographic fingerprint is anchored there. To exercise GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure and more), contact the sender first; TRUE assists where the law requires. See the TRUE GDPR page for details.

2.5 Declining

You can decline to sign. Declining is recorded in the evidence log and ends the request for you. Nothing is anchored for a declined document on your behalf.

2.6 After sealing

When every party has signed, you receive the sealed original by email. The sealed PDF carries its own proof; keep your copy. Verification through TRUE Verify is free and stays available for as long as the sender keeps the document active with TRUE. If the sender removes it, your sealed copy remains intact, and removal never changes what was signed.

2.7 Law

Swedish law governs these terms.
